Camille Varner Kolafa is a character-driven illustrator specializing in fantastical themes.

Heavily influenced by the fantasy media she grew up with, Camille creates traditional 2D and digital 2D fantasy artwork, often working “tradigitally”. She enjoys creating narrative illustrations involving characters and immersing herself in what they are experiencing and the world they live in. Striving to create compelling narratives by utilizing light, color, and composition, she also puts emphasis on facial expression and body language. She is always eager to learn new techniques and improve her ability.

Camille is from Richmond, Virginia and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts. She now continues to work on her portfolio with her husband and three pets in central Virginia.
